Ah, another weekend comes to an end...

Today was quite a long one for me... first of all, I didn't sleep well at all last night. Then, I was up early (10am is super dupa early for me) to get the food started for our backyard picnic we had planned for my CA aunt's birthday. The sister and brutha in-law came with their kids, as well as my 2 dearest girlfriends and their children (the neighbor's showed up with their kids too). I did the ever popular and simple 7 layer salad, Paula Deen's southern styled deviled eggs (sooo good) and a pesto and tomato pasta salad (there were the usual burgers and beer brats as well). I love these simple and delicious treats, as well as love entertaining. So many kids here today, which I love, but I love even more when they go home!!! Not being a negative nancy, I do love them, but it's time for ibuprofen and bedtime! Oh, and, we had the typical WI picnic weather... rain on and off all afternoon, but that didn't stop us! We swam in between storms!!!
