Have a Heart

A small tribute to one of my all time favs. I did see them in concert once... they were on a free stage at Summer Fest in Milwaukee a few years ago. That's right... a FREE stage. I would've paid to see them, but, whatever. There were so many people, Ann and Nancy looked like ants from where I was standing. Their music still rocked the house... I had goose bumps the whole time! That's a good show! (Apparently, my musical flashbacks are continuing through today...!)

I've always had a thing for chick bands and female solo artists, however, I was never a big fan of Babs, which is odd to some people. I don't like the beatles either, but I digress. I fell for Heart back when "Alone" was released in 1987, making me 12 years old, maybe because I was feeling 'alone'. I guess my childhood was kind of lonely, even though I had a tremendous amount of love and support from my family. I drown myself in music (listening to it, not performing), and grew up with the likes of Heart obviously, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, The Bangles (yes, I walked like an egyptian), and a handful of others. Could I have been anymore gay? Yes, I guess I could've been a Streisand fan, but I think due to my Mother's love for her, and the 8 track of her constantly playing, I just grew tired of her! Enjoy.
