Ugh...

So, it's my best friend's birthday this weekend, and for the last few months we've been planning dinner and drinks in Milwaukee for a select few. In the past, the parties have always been free beer and pool at the local watering hole, but this year we thought we'd do an adultish party. Well, last minute, 2 of 6 backed out on us... literally the last minute. We are to have dinner in 2 hours, and just got the calls a few minutes ago that they aren't coming. "I can't afford it...", and "my cat got out and I have to find her", and "you didn't come see me so I'm not coming to see you" and on and on.... Why the drama? I've planned this for my friend 'cuz she deserves a bit of attention and I love her reaction when everyone who cares about her can get together and have fun. Well, that's not the case tonight. I'm quite disappointed. One of the friend's said to call her after dinner and she might meet us out... call to meet us out? Yah, I'm right on that! If you can't afford dinner, you can still come to the restaurant and mingle, right? Nope! And as if we would invite you out to a place you couldn't afford... or like the one friend said, "I'm not chipping in a bunch of money if I'm only having a salad"... like we'd ask you to pay for our food as well... suck it! We are going out and gonna have fun without all of them, and I'll be sure to rub in their faces the amount of fun that we've had! 'Cuz we are going to have fun! Women!!! Yah, the two that cancelled are women!!! The funny thing is, in the past, EVERYBODY showed up for the free beer... no questions asked! How ironic! Now it's on THEIR time, even though it's not their day of celebration! Here's a hint of how I'm feeling!
