Today's Birthday

Pete Seeger (1919 - present), folk singer, political activist and original member of "The Weavers". Seeger wrote many songs including "If I Had a Hammer", "Turn, Turn, Turn", and one of my favorites (below), as well as "We Shall Overcome" which became the anthem for the Civil Rights Movement in the '60's.
